I have recently achieved ‘Outstanding’ in our recent OFSTED inspection for EYFS in October 2023 and my detailed planning was highly praised within the report “…designed an ambitious and carefully ordered curriculum… this supports the children well to acquire the knowledge that they need for subsequent learning. Children are very well prepared for the demands of year 1”. Use this termly checkpoints document to support monitoring the children’s progression in each of the 7 areas of learning. Outdoor learning is HUGE and my little ones adore going on nature hunts! Head over to your school field or explore your local environment! Roll it, read it, write it. Maths games using dice and tens frames to support children’s mathematical development. Encourages the children to subitise by looking at the amounts on the dice, develops 1:1 correspondence, and number formation. Multiple designs included - 2 of each design, one with a number line to 10 to aid correct number formation in the early stages of learning. Use with a dice or other number representations such as dot cards, fingers, dominoes etc. Keep it fun and engaging when learning through play :)
