Engage your learners in these Rainbow Fish creative resources, allowing them to develop their cutting skills to cut out the main characters from The Rainbow Fish story, including The Wise Octopus, The starfish and other characters in order to create their own scene from the story. This activity is suitable for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students (key stage 1 students) to create their favourite part of the story or retell an important part that has meaning by using the A4=background page provided then adding their cut outs before coloring to finish their own Rainbow Fish masterpiece! Draw each digital time on the analogue clock to support knowledge and understanding of telling time with these versatile task cards designed for children. This printable resource is ideal to support the teaching and learning of time in both key stage 2 and elementary math curriculums. Once children are confident with matching digital and analogue times, they can then progress to calculate time durations using the same resource, building in experience of the 12 and 24 hour clock. Included in the download is a coloured template to use as task cards, a black and white version to photocopy and use for workbooks and 30 digital times, using both 12 and 24 hour clocks. You then have the freedom to print and make as many task cards and digital time cards as you need. Once they’re laminated, students can write on them with a dry wipe pen then erase so they can be used over and over again. These would be ideal to use as math centers, small group activities, partner work, interventions and in your homeschool environment.

Engage your youngsters in counting in multiples of ten with these fun task cards, supporting the math curriculum for Year 1 and Kindergarten aged children. There are 18 cards in the set with a different picture image, representing a multiple of ten for you to download. Children count the number of objects and choose the correct answer from the multiple choice selection. This can be done by using small pegs so they can clip the answer if you’re wanting a ‘no writing’ activity, or if the cards are laminated, they could use a dry wipe pen to circle the correct answer. These flashcards are so simple yet versatile and could be used as a warm up activity, small group work, math centers, interventions and homeschooling. If you’d rather use them as a worksheet, then simply print the pdf to glue into notebooks. However you choose to use them, your little learners will certainly develop confidence in counting in multiples of ten from 10 to 100 and keep them on track for applying such knowledge as they progress through the math curriculum.

Have fun going back to school at the start of the new term or school year with this printable All About Me Booklet. Engage your class in a fun and creative welcoming activity, so they can share interesting facts about themselves through writing and art, regardless of age or ability. This is a great ice breaker on the first day of school or during ‘Meet the new teacher’ transition days and caters for all types of students, especially those who are less verbal and prefer communicating in other ways. Children have a chance to: Share a picture of themselves through a self portrait or a photograph Write and draw about important people in their lives, such as parents, carers, family members and friends. Share their aspirations for when they are older, so you can support with early career ideas and develop an awareness with them of the importance of education to help them achieve their dreams.
