KS3 RE: Can Science and Religion coexist? Can you be religious and believe in the scientific theories of creation and evolution? Both of these questions are explored through the comparison of religious and scientific beliefs about the creation of the world. Complete lesson with resources.

A complete lesson for year 10 AQA GCSE RS students. Includes Retrieval task, a revision clock reading comprehension activity, a knowledge check quiz and a practice 12 mark exam question with peer assessment. Could be adapted for year 8 or 9.

A complete AQA GCSE RS lesson for Theme E that introduces the reasons for crime and connects them to Christian and Muslim beliefs and teachings about intention. It explores the intention behind crimes such as theft, hate crime, criminal damage and links them to religious teachings about committing crimes for good or bad intentions, giving examples from the story of St Paul and A Hadith from Prophet Muhammad. Includes a roll and re-tell retrieval task, an information sheet, worksheet and two practice exam questions with model answers.

A key stage 3 RE lesson that encourages students to think about how Jesus’s teachings make him a good role model and leader. A full GCSE AQA lesson about the 7 sacraments of Christianity. It includes different denominational attitudes towards the sacraments. Contains a start/retrieval task, a cut and sort activity, a key vocab sheet, and a quick quiz with answers.

Display Posters containing all of the recommended key vocabulary required for AQA’s Islam: Beliefs and Practices specification. Includes short explanations for some more difficult concepts and pictorial support on each one to help embed knowledge. I created this as part of my action research into key vocab retention and use following 2023’s exam board feedback.

Can be printed out for those students who prefer to access home learning from a paper based resource.
