Viva 2 Mi Vida Tu Vida - La Caperucita Roja
A non-textbook based, fun and engaging Drama lesson in Spanish to practise using the present and preterite tenses in the he/she form.
Students learn the vocabulary needed for Little Little Red Riding Hood and practise conjugating the key verbs in the script before performing the play in groups of 4.
You need approximately 1 hour for this lesson. However, my students loved it so much that we used an additional 30 mins of the following lesson to do a performance competition.
This lesson is a wonderful opportunity for your students to speak at length in Spanish.
Teachers notes are in the Notes section of the PowerPoint.

GCSE Spanish Theme 1 Unit 8 Module 1
Peer-assessed read-aloud and translation (Spanish - English) activity.
A text, divided into two parts, is provided to students on the topic of post-16 education. In pairs, students decide who is going to be tested on their pronunciation of part A and who is going to be tested on their pronunciation of part B. Students have a few minutes to annotate and prepare for the read aloud task on their part of the text. A peer-assessment grid is provided highlighting target words in each text and key sounds for these words. Students listen to each other’s read aloud task and use the peer-assessment grid to provide feedback on sounds that their partner knows well and sounds which they need to practise further.
Following this, students translate the whole text into English. An assessment grid is provided.
The two activities together take around 25 minutes to complete.
