Five lessons that aim to introduce students to the world of personal finance and how to handle their money. Lessons covers financial matters such as the 50/30/20 rule, intrest rates, good and bad ways of making money, the importance of savings and the cost of going to uni.
Lessons were planned for KS3 students but can easily be adapted.
Borrowing and saving money
Second of five lessons designed to help students learn about personal finance and get the most out of their money. This lesson helps students to understand interest rates and the benefit they can gain from saving and the danger they pose to borrowing. Students are also made aware of the risk assessment process a bank may do when considering a loan application.
