A lesson looking at Russia and the population. Population pyramid of Russia is described and explained along with the lifestyle covering: religion; education; food and culture.

Lesson 5 (oil production and consumption) and lesson 6 (factors affecting the supply and price of oil) are included for Topic 9 (Energy Resources) for the Geog Edexcel B GCSE specification.

Lessons 7 for Topic 9 (Energy resources) looks at conventional drilling and the associated benefits. Lesson 8 looks at the two methods of unconventional drilling (hydraulic fracking and tar sands)

The final part of Topic 9 (lessons 13 and 14) include DME practice and a checklist for pupils to summarise and consolidate their knowledge.

A lesson tailored for GCSE (Topic 4) - UK Physical Landscape. The lesson fits the specification section 4.3a that looks at features formed by erosion (wave-cut notch/platform; crack to stump; and what factors influence erosion (rock type; seasonality and wave type). Diagrams and videos are included.

This is part of the GCSE Edexcel B Specification. Topic 4 (UK Physical Landscape) looking at section 4.3a (Coastal change and conflict). The lesson introduces the coastal section and looks at erosion. The lesson also looks at concordant vs discordant coastlines.

A lesson looking at where in the world most common diseases are. Pupils look at a map to decide where you would find certain diseases and then justify their reasons. Fact-files are then created using information on the board e.g. Cholera and pupils can be creative here - make a poster before justifying and ranking the diseases.

A double-lesson looking at 1) Cholera and 2) Malaria. Can be used as seperate lessons. Tasks include causes, symptoms and solutions for each. Video and map tasks included. Cholera - looks at WHO facts (10) and the main causes/symptoms using a drawing. Effects can then be categorised before 5 solutions offered. Malaria world map discussed as a tropical disease before looking at the causes and symptoms.
