MissQuinn9's Shop

Welcome to my shop! I am a KS2 primary school teacher who loves to create resources to use in my classroom to support and teach my children. During my career, I've taught years 3 and 4 as a class, years 5 and 6 as a class and all of KS2 together as a class! I hope you find resources that will save you time and be useful.

Conjunctions: subordinating, adverbial, coordinating for display / reminder

(0)
A selection of coordinating, subordinating and adverbial conjunctions for laminating and displaying around the board to act as a reminder when the children are writing. They can then be moved onto the board if you want the children to include particular ones in their writing. They also act as a super reminder when the children are trying to identify subordinate clauses or fronted adverbials in example texts or guided writing.

factors multiples squares cubes primes explanation posters for display

(0)
Posters that explain factors, multiples, squares, cubes and primes with examples to act as a visual reminder. Display on your maths wall or use on the board to explain each concept. My children love being independent and use them as a reminder when working independently, especially when retrieving concepts previously covered.

Degrees of trust when working scientifically

(0)
Upper KS2 need to be able to report and present findings from enquiries including degrees of trust in their results when working scientifically. This poster details questions to ask in the areas of objectivity, accuracy, reproducibility, consensus and sample size. The children can then think about how high or low the degree of trust is in their results. The document can be laminated for display or made smaller to stick on the inside covers of the children’s science books.

Writing up a science investigation: structure and explanations for LKS2

(0)
This document lists the subheadings and explains the structure of each part of a written recording of a science investigation so even if the children are just recording part of the investigation, they can see how it fits into the complete write up. My children have a copy of this glued into the back cover of their science book as a reminder - by the time they get to Y6, most are very adept at writing up their investigations and are desperate to do the whole thing.

Grammar and punctuation reading tasks for Y3456

(0)
These tasks are based on grammar and punctuation that a year group should know from the previous year (in an ideal world!). If you want the children to focus on a task after reading a book or while reading, these documents can be glued into a reading record and an appropriate task chosen, discussed with the child and recorded in the record after their new reading book has been written in. An ideal way to keep concepts fresh in the children's minds.

Impressions of characters - adjectives to describe DISPLAY and HANDOUT

(0)
The inference questions in reading SATs papers regarding forming impressions of characters can be tricky for children. This group of resources allows you to display an explanation of this type of question and a selection of character traits with their definitions that might be suitable for use in answers (these are separated into positive and negative attributes). There is also all the information combined on one document that could be used as a handout to remind children. Four documents in total.
