The NEW AAQ Unit 5: Promoting Health Education Learning Aim A, B and C Schemes of Work. These are the schemes of work for the new AAQ Unit 5 which go with the complete resource package for all Learning Aims based on Version 1 of the Pearson Set Assignment Brief, focusing on smoking as the health and well-being issue. As well as the weekly PowerPoints covering 3 lessons a week, there are associated resources as referenced in the PowerPoints.

This is the first PowerPoint for the NEW AAQ Unit 2: Human Biology and Health exam unit for the Pearson Level 3 AAQ BTEC National in Health and Social Care. I am using the ‘Learning Activities and Resources’ scheme that Pearson have published in their unit guide, so I will be producing PowerPoints for every lesson to cover the whole unit. I am not following the content exactly, just the order that they have suggested but as I won’t manage this before the end of term, I thought I would put this taster PowerPoint on here today so that you are aware that the whole unit is coming before the end of July. The full package for teaching Unit 2: Learning Aim A is now avaiable. This includes; six detailed lesson PowerPoints, full scheme of work, LAA mini mock and associated mark scheme, Excel file for recording and calculating grades and a front sheet for recording and refelcting on progress. I have already created and shared Unit 5 (see in my other resources) and am planning on doing the same for Unit 1 before the start of next term and Unit 3 as early as is humanly possible in September. Unit 2 Learning Aim A and Learning Aim B, including a detailed PowerPoints for every lesson with sample questions and a scheme of work, will be avaiable soon.

There are six individual lesson PowerPoints covering A1 Cells, A2 Tissues, A3 Energy in the body, A4 Homeostasis. As well as the six lesson PowerPoints covering 3 lessons a week, there is also a detailed scheme of work with associated resources as referenced in the PowerPoints. There is also a Learning Aim A mini mock with associated mark scheme and a detailed Excel file for recording marks and calculating grades (the grade boundaries have been estimated using the old specification). There is also a Unit 2 front sheet for recording grades. Unit 5 the full teaching package is also available, and Unit 2 Learning Aim B and Learning Aim C will follow in a week.
