This is an GCSE level lesson on the UK’s landscapes and the factors that influenced their formation. It is suitable for all specification but was prepared with the Edexcel B specs in mind. Key facts about the lesson are: The content covered by the lesson are; Identification of upland and lowland areas in the UK. Characteristics of the three types of rocks. Explanation of the formation of the three types of rock. Distribution of rock types in the UK. Relationship between rock type and uplands/lowlands in the UK.
