Cryptography/Encryption Unit of work
Save yourself some time this term with this entire SOW covering Encryption and Cryptography. I aimed this at year 8 and it’s been widely well received!

Cryptography
Learn about the different types of Cryptography to decrypt messages related to Alan Turing and WW2 code breaking.
Worksheet and lesson attached.

Chatbots and the Turing Test
Students learn about Alan Turing and the Turing test and can attempt to make a basic “chat bot” using Python.
The lesson provides resources for students and the teacher and covers basic input and print functions, use of variables and moves on to IF statements.

BTEC AAQ Level 3 IT - Unit 1 - A1/A2 all lessons and resources
This pack covers all of the lessons for Unit 1 section A1/A2 - Functions and use of digital devices, and the notation used to represent the design of IT systems.
Lessons are broken down into the following topics in this area;
Features of digital devices - broken into 5 sub sections (PC’s, MFD’s and mobile devices, types of server, entertainment systems, embedded systems, communications systems)
Function and uses of digital devices
Forms of notation
Peripherals and assistive technologies
Storage media and data processing
All lessons come with the Powerpoint - some teacher notes added to some slides where I thought they were necessary. I have added worksheets were needed and include the use of lots of discussion points and card sorts. I have tried to ensure there is as much practical application of this theory as possible to hopefully make it enjoyable and engaging for you and your students.
