Dans ma trousse lesson presentation
This complete lesson presentation is the ideal introduction to teaching the objects in the pencil case. The lesson centres around choral drilling and opportunities for speaking games such as beat the teacher and morpion. Slides are colour coded so that students can learn both implicitly and explicitly how to determine noun gender of objects in French. The lesson can be easily differentiated between word level to sentence level to adding negatives.

Bienvenue ca va
This is an ideal first lesson with a year 7 class in September new to French. The powerpoint takes you through the step-by-step of handing out new books, going over expectations, discussing the importance of language learning and then some drilling of “Bonjour, ca va” vocabulary with suggested speaking games.

Les activités en vacances worksheet
A worksheet that supports KS4 students in learning how to describe the activities they usually do on holiday.
This worksheet could be used as a stand-alone cover lesson or weekly homework task.
It is self-differentiated in that it increases in difficulty.

Qu'est-ce qu'il y a dans ton sac?
This lesson accompanies access studio p.10 textbook or any lesson about what’s in your bag/pencil case.
Objectives are:
learn 10 items of vocabulary that might be in a school bag/pencil case
say there is + object in a sentence
understand the rules of noun genders
Activities include: lots of choral repetition and speaking game ideas, vocab copying and naughts/crosses.
In the notes section of the powerpoint is more guidance on how I would maximise the use of each slide.

Instrucciones
This is an ideal lesson with a new Spanish class to teach classroom instructions and encourage maximum use of target language.
All accompanying sheets are also included.
In the notes for each slide are more detailed teaching points.

Year 7 term 1a Knowledge Organiser
This would be given to year 7s at the end of completing their first module/half term.
It can be used to assist homework revision before an end of unit test.
The phrases in bold are the key transferable phrases that could be learnt and recycled in any context (with the aim of moving away from noun heavy revision).

Using all three tenses simultaneously
This stand-alone lesson is a really useful lesson for any KS4 French class leading up to a 90 word writing task question. The subtopic of the lesson is healthy living but the powerpoint could be easily adapted to any topic in order to revise using all three tenses simultaneously in a piece of writing.

Tu es sportif? worksheet
A worksheet that links to studio 1 p.52 “Tu es sportif?”. Ideal to set for homework or a cover lesson. It is well staged and increases in difficulty so students of all abilities should be appropriately challenged.
