I wanted to create interactive revision resources that my students would engage with and actually do! I found that one of the biggest problems I had with my GCSE classes was that my 3/4 borderline kids had no idea where to start and very infrequently did any revision. I started out making these videos I was just aiming to fill the gaps or explain concepts for their homework tasks. I was absolutely overwhelmed when thousands of students from all over the country started watching!

Paper 2 Walkthough - Elizabeth & Cold War Half Price!

2 Resources
Both of these are flexible, pick-and-mix resource designed to help you target revision for the Paper 2 Elizabeth and Cold War questions. Whether your students are flying or struggling, you can dip in, choose the slides that match their needs, and leave the rest. Inside, you’ll find clear, accessible walkthroughs of all the Cold War question types: The quick 4-mark consequence questions The 8-mark narrative account The 8-mark importance questions (pick 2 from 3) And All the question types for the British Depth Study section of Paper 2: Describe one feature of… (2 marks) Explain why… (12 marks) How far do you agree? (16 marks) Every section is broken down with simple structures (PEE, PEEA), model answers, and exam-smart strategies students can actually use under pressure. It’s designed to demystify the mark scheme and help students understand how to hit the criteria – not just what to write. All the example questions are based on topics that haven’t come up before – so students get to practise realistic, unfamiliar scenarios without relying on repeated patterns. And the walkthroughs are built around the 2025 exam format, so everything aligns with what they’ll actually face. My aim is to give you a toolkit, not a script. Use it for modelling, intervention, or revision. Choose the slides that suit your group’s ability, energy, and confidence. Chop it up, adapt it, personalise it. It’s not about ticking off content – it’s about building smart, focused exam answers.

Paper 2b Walkthrough 2025 – Elizabethan England (British Depth Study)

A flexible revision toolkit to help you teach smarter, not harder This isn’t a full lesson. It’s not even a sequence. It’s a pick-and-mix resource – created so you can choose the slides that actually work for your class, your context, and your students. The walkthrough covers all the question types for the British Depth Study section of Paper 2: Describe one feature of… (2 marks) Explain why… (12 marks) How far do you agree? (16 marks) Each section breaks down the demands of the question with simple, clear structures like PEE and PEEA, plus worked examples and sentence starters that make exam technique feel doable – not daunting. Why it’s different: The example questions are based on topics that have never come up before, so students get to practise realistic, challenging content without falling back on old patterns. And the guidance throughout is based on the 2025 exam format, so you know it’s relevant and purposeful. Use it your way: You can model answers, run intervention groups, support independent revision, or build lessons around specific slides. It’s designed to be flexible – not prescriptive. There’s no pressure to teach it all. Just lift what works, and leave what doesn’t. Important: This walkthrough only covers the British Depth Study (Elizabethan England) section of Paper 2. It doesn’t include the Period Study (Cold War etc.).
