GCSE Art checklist for project, exam, sketchbook or portfolio
This checklist has been instrumental in our GCSE students achieving grades 5+. It’s a great resource to hold students accountable for their work and it ensures that the students hit all of the assessment criteria.
I explain to my students that this checklist is the minimum needed for a grade 5 and that in order to achieve higher they would spend more time on the experiments and refinement.
HA students use it independently whilst LA and MA use it alongside structured support.

It includes:

This was designed originally during Covid as a way for students to complete their projects independently. I now use it as a summer project for my year 10’s to bulk out portfolio if needed.

I have used this with some of my SEND or Alt Ed students and it has allowed them to focus fully on the artwork itself rather than navigate the portfolio expectations. All students who have used this or something very similar have achieved a grade 5+

Art Standardisation spidergram posters
I have taken the spidergrams from the AQA standardisation handbook and made them into colourful, A3 posters for use in the classroom.
minimal ability will be added in due time!
The posters are PNGs so they can be printed whatever size you require.
Pop at the front of sketchbooks, on the wall or share digitally with your students.
I have purposely uploaded these posters for FREE for all to use as they see fit.
I hope you find them helpful!

AQA Assessment Objectives Poster - The origional

Here they are, second time around!
