AQA English Language Surfing Paper 2 with letter task
Created in 2023 as a new approach to the paper 2 with some stimlus to engage students in the topic and texts. Each question includes an opportunity to model and mark against critera. Ideal for grades 4-5 and beyond.

Analysing Language Key Stage 3 English
A KS3 friendly lesson or SEN suitable lesson to remind students how to analyse in steps. Recommend to be used alongside a list of language techniques and word classification. A simple list features on the KS3 National Curriculum programme of study. Tasks include:

Created for Year 10, early teaching of Q4 viewpoint. Can easily be paired with a similar biographical account or taught singularly before introducing a paired text. Includes two lessons (reading preparation and application of skill/knowedge).

Of Mice & Men Write your own ending
Written for Year 8-9 exploring the final sentence of the novel and alternative (more Utopian!) endings to make everybody feel just a little bit better! Great for exploring narrative structure and writers’ choices.
