The PowerPoint also contains the instructions for 10 different keyword games to be completed in tutor time to help your tutees learn the words, and a slide on why keywords and vocabulary are important. A vital resource for any school looking at ways to develop students understanding of key subject vocabulary. Possible to adapt to your subjects keyword lists.

A resource I created for a weekly Thought for the Week whole school focus. The slides are designed to be displayed on IWB/screens but can also be printed out as posters. It was designed as an activity for tutor time to generate discussion around a variety of issues.

A basic #flippedlearning resource based around 4 homeworks/lessons of watching Richard Attenborough's Gandhi and answering comprehension questions and completing summary activities. Unfortunately the film is not available legally online so there is no link to it on the worksheet. If students have access to the film this is a perfect way to start a unit of work on India and the British Raj and allows you to flip your classroom so the students can get an introduction to the main themes and events outside your lessons. Flippedlearning resource with a link to a YouTube documentary on the US Presidents from Jimmy Carter in 1977 to George Bush Jr in the early 2000's. The video gives a brief overview of the key issues of each Presidency and some of their main successes and challenges.
