New online service coming soon with FREE downloads (including this resource) available! For more information visit https://alphabetlearning.online What’s included? This download includes x2 sets of x3 pages featuring rainbow coloured 0 - 10 number lines, every number line is a different colour. Each page features x4 zero to ten number lines, one set has ‘count on/back tracks’ (positioned above) the other set does not. There are x6 pages in total. All pages are landscape in orientation, pdf format. What’s it for? These number lines help learners count on and back from 0 to 10. The design is plain. The version ‘without tracks’ leaves a space above each number line for simple sums to be written and/or small objects to be placed. Number lines could be cut horizontally to separate and used to support learners with their number work/play number games. Who’s it for? These simple number lines to 10 have been carefully designed for early years and pupils in years one and two as well as students needing additional learning support. Resource layout This download includes x12 number lines (across x3 pages) each displaying numbers from 0 - 10. x4 number lines per page, every number line is a different colour. The resource has been designed for each sheet to be used by a learner. A space is provided for learners to write their name (at the base, left) and record the number date (top, right). However, these could be sliced horizontally and used as twelve individual (different coloured!) number lines as needed. Set 1 The number line colours are listed below: Page 1 x4 number lines 0 - 10 pale pink boxes, pale pink numbers, vertical pale pink tracks above bright pink boxes, bright pink numbers, vertical bright pink tracks above red boxes, red numbers, vertical red tracks above orange boxes, orange numbers, vertical orange tracks above Page 2 x4 number lines 0 - 10 yellow boxes, yellow numbers, vertical pale pink tracks above light green boxes, light green numbers, vertical light green tracks above dark green boxes, dark green numbers, vertical dark green tracks above turquoise boxes, turquoise numbers, vertical turquoise tracks above x4 number lines 0 - 10 light blue boxes, light blue numbers, vertical light blue tracks above dark blue boxes, dark blue numbers, vertical dark blue tracks above purple boxes, purple numbers, vertical purple tracks above lilac boxes, lilac numbers, vertical lilac tracks above Set 2 The number line colours are listed as above, however all do not have vertical tracks above each number line. Suggestion Different numbers could be covered to encourage learners to identify which number comes before/next. Writing colour words (Phases 2, 3, 5) AND Ordering colour words alphabetically (two resources)

(0)
What’s included? x2 sheets, landscape orientation, pdf format. Two resources (two downloads) included. Who’s it for? These resources have been designed for learners in the Early Years and Years 1 and 2. Resource 1 is aimed at learners who have learnt phonics in Phases 2, 3 and 5 as well as older pupils who need some practise/reinforcement of these sounds. Resource 2 is aimed at learners needing to practise ordering words alphabetically. What’s it for? Resource 1 enables learners to use their phonic knowledge (from phonics phases 2, 3 and 5) to write each colour word included. Resource 2 provides x12 colour words to order alphabetically - with an alphabet visual support provided to support learners (as needed). Both resources have been designed to promote autonomy - clear answers are included for learners to then check themselves after having a try. However - although answers are provided the design enables these to be folded out of sight while learners complete each activity. How to use it? In combining these two resources together learners can complete Resource 1 first (sounding out and writing colour words) before moving onto Resource 2 (ordering colour-words alphabetically). Resource 1 Each colour (balloon) has the correct number of lines underneath for learners to sound out each colour word and write the graphemes (on these lines). Resource 2 Once learners have completed writing the x8 colour-names (resource 1) in resource 2 each colour word is displayed under each of the x12 coloured balloons at the top of the sheet. These balloons are to be cut out (following the dotted lines) and the colour-words ordered alphabetically on the grid-row positioned in the centre of the sheet. Resource Details… Resource 1 The colour of each tick (above each balloon) indicates which phonics phase the sounds for that word are from making this ideal to target specific phonics areas and encouraging learners to practise their knowledge in this (colour word) context. Resource 2 Learners will each need a pencil to write their name and record the number date (top, right). They will also need access to a pair of scissors and a glue stick. For those learners needing additional support the colour words can be cross referenced with the alphabet included (at the top of the sheet) to help learners order these alphabetically. For more able learners/those needing a more of a challenge this supporting alphabet-reference can be folded back (out of sight) for learners to instead use their memory/recall their knowledge of the alphabet - to be used as appropriate depending on the needs of each learner. Important message… ANY issues with any of this resource please don’t hesitate to let me know - I am happy to make changes. Feedback of this resource would be brilliant! **New online service coming soon with FREE downloads (including this resource) available! For more information visit ** https://alphabetlearning.online

Handwriting ALL lowercase alphabet letters (grouped by letter formation)

(0)
What’s included? This download includes x6 A4, pdf sheets (portrait orientation) to practise handwriting all lowercase letters. Letters have been grouped according to how they are written - by similar shape and orientation. There are x5 sets included in total. Who’s it for? This resource has been designed for early years children, pupils in years one and two as well as older students needing additional learning support. What’s it for? These unique resources have been designed to really focus in on the detail - making how to write each letter as clear as possible to learners. This resource has been designed to encourage autonomy and so self confidence while making the process as clear as possible for learners to follow once they understand the colour order to follow (shown at the top of every sheet as a reference) and the meaning of each coloured ‘dot’ (also clearly displayed at the top of every sheet). How to use it? Learners are clearly guided on exactly where to place their pencil to begin writing each letter (identified by a green dot). Changes in direction (requiring a momentary pause) are indicated with an orange dot (as with an amber traffic light - indicating waiting and thinking). Where to stop (and remove the pencil from the paper) is indicated with a red ‘stop’ dot. Learners are also visually guided by a uniform colour system showing the direction to follow which is further reinforced by directional chevron shaped arrows. Resource details The font used is Sassoon Infant Std. This activity has been designed to write straight on. Each letter has a clear ‘starting dot’ so learners know where to place their pencil to begin and coloured chevron lines providing guidance of exactly where (which direction) to write. Letters are grouped into these sets. Set numbers are included on every sheet. c o a d g q (Set 1, x1 page) r n m h b p k (Set 2, x2 pages) l i j t (Set 3, x1 page) u y v w (Set 4, x1 page) s f x z e (Set 5, x1 page) Learners can write their name on the line provided at the base of the sheet and record the longer word-date (top, right). All letters are positioned on a line - to model how letters should look when positioned correctly on a line. This resource is designed to be used by itself, however as other sets are available different sounds could be combined and presented to learners for them to sort according to which initial sound the different (mixed) images have. How to use it? All sheets can be printed onto paper. Page 3 can be made into a miniature book (simple instructions included). To make a book scissors and a glue stick are all that is needed. Once the book is made either the colour set of words/images (page 1) OR the black and white set of words/images (page 2) can be cut and ordered alphabetically and then stuck into the miniature book (one word/image per page). Page 1 is the colour version of words/images which all begin with ‘l’. These can be cut up (using the dotted lines as a guide for where to cut). Page 2 is the black and white version of page 1 but in addition includes the outline of each word with a starting dot for each letter - encouraging learners to write the word for each image themselves. Learners can also colour these images. Pages 1 and 2 could be used together as two sets of cards to play a pairs/matching game, for this these pages would be better printed onto card (so that the images cannot be seen through the back as would be the case if using paper). Resource details The images included for l are: ladybird, leaf, lemon, lemur, leopard, lighthouse, lion, lizard, lipstick and lobster. Wordsearch - May, x18 words to find

(0)
What’s included? This download includes x2 (portrait orientation, pdf) A4 sheets, featuring one ‘May’ word search (page 1). The answers on page 2 clearly show where all words are hidden, displayed in the same layout (as page 1) to promote autonomy whilst providing easy comparison/quick reference. Who’s it for? This word search has been designed for pupils the early years, in years one and two, as well as students needing additional learning support. Nouns are illustrated to make the meaning of these words clear to learners - this would also benefit pupils with EAL. Resource layout The word search letters are arranged in a x12 by x12 square grid and featuring easy to read ‘Sassoon Infant Std’ font. The May words have been organised into four groups, clearly showing all hidden words below the word search. There are x18 words to find in total. These words are hidden horizontally (forwards and backwards), vertically (up as well as down) and diagonally (forwards up and down and backwards down). Words to find are; may, spring, bees, world bee day, maypole, may queen, flower show, bank holiday, flowers, blossom, tulip, hawthorn, lily of valley, fifth (month in year), emerald, gemini, taurus, sun and showers. Recommendations I recommend that learners use a ‘highlighter’ style pen when finding the hidden words as highlighters enable all letters to remain visible once each word has been identified, some letters have been used more than once (for different words) so all letters need to remain visible. This word search may be printed and laminated to be reused. Important message… ANY issues with any of this resource please don’t hesitate to get in touch - I am happy to make changes. Feedback of this resource would be brilliant. Thank you! **New online service coming soon with FREE downloads (including this resource) available.
