ELISA Test A-level Biology Summary Worksheets: Immune Response / Immunity
Download includes 3 worksheets:
First worksheet gives an overview of a ‘general’ ELISA test (which is actually an indirect ELISA), which is the version in the AQA textbook, along with a few commonly asked questions.
The second worksheet consists of diagrams showing a positive and negative result for a ‘sandwich’ ELISA which often features in exam questions (detecting prostate-specific antigen in a blood sample).
The third worksheet consists of diagrams showing a positive and negative result for a specific example of an indirect ELISA example which often features in exam questions (detecting HIV antibodies in a sample).
Students wouldn’t actually be expected to know the specific names for the different types of ELISA tests, these worksheets are just to provide practice at interpreting what’s going on in different permutations of the test.
Worksheets have black and white diagrams (so students can colour them in) with space for students to annotate each step in the process.
Fully completed sheets are included (black and white & a coloured version which I use for teaching the topic).

AQA GCSE Combined Science Required Practical Revision Sheets
AQA GCSE required practical revision notes/sheets covering all 21 required practicals for Combined Science/Trilogy (higher tier).
Despite being worth 15% of the marks, so many students don’t allocate specific revision time to the required practicals. I designed these sheets for my own students to encourage specific revision of the practicals and have seen a great improvement in practical knowledge and the ability to answer practical-based questions.
Each sheet includes an example method and (where relevant) exam-style questions and model answers.
The model answers for the exam-style questions have been written based on previous mark schemes, but I cannot guarantee that future mark schemes will be exactly the same.
