Story setting mind map- 5 senses
I made this for an SEN Y7 & 8 class to create mind maps of different story settings using the 5 senses. Can be useful to laminate and reuse for lesson starters etc

Estimation maths starter
Can be used as a general starter or linked in with Measure. I prepared this for a post 16 SEN class.

The Highway Rat
A worksheet on describing the character the Highway Rat. Origninally used in an SEN class.

Social skills- friendship. Scheme of work/ Medium term plan
Originally made for a KS3 SEN class. A MTP on social skills focusing on friendships. Includes a peer buddy ticklist completed at the end of every lesson.
I found and downloaded resources from here, and other websites, but hopefully gives some ideas for social skills lessons or interventions.

Chronology. Sorting artefacts by time period
Originally made a year 7 SEN class.
Quick starter discussing the image
Explains chronology and why historians do it.
The main activity is to sort the artefacts into 3 time periods.
Discuss images of toys from 3 periods
EXT: compare time periods to today

Comparison sentences using 'but'
A really simple worksheet, originally made for SEN pupils with writing levels 1-2.

Healthy living- sleep, food and drink that aids sleep
A brief powerpoint on the importance of sleep, sleep deprivation and food and drinks that help/hinder our sleep.
Students can make a mind map or a poster using the tips at the end of the powerpoint.

Creative writing worksheet
I used ideas from a creative writing powerpoint on here and made it into an A3 worksheet to extend it to a lesson activity. Originally uysed with KS3 Y8 and 9 SEN pupils

Sensory starters/activities
These are some sensory activities to use as starters or during tutor time. They have been selected and designed for students with learning and behavioural needs. I've also uploaded a script for one of the activities, just to provide an example but when you're doing the activity the story theme could change so you need to be flexible.
From experience they can help students be more creative in their lessons, it builds social skills between groups of students and can help them regulate their emotions.
Can be used and adapted for all ages but was originally designed for secondary and post 16 students.

Choosing a holiday
I made this for a level 1 BTEC Travel and Tourism lesson where students had to read the profiles and decide on a suitable holiday for that person, we also did a role play after here the students would pretend to be the characters and the travel agent had to recommend 3 different holidays written by the students and decide which they would go on.

Here are a few worksheets on 2 of the themes in Richard III- relationships and family and fate. Also a quick worksheet on Richard's personality. I've used the BBC bitesize for images and videos to help. Originally used for a key stage 3 SEN class.

Ancient Egypt- Introduction lesson
A quiz worksheet and power point with all the answers on to go through after.
Used as a quick intro lesson to the Ancient Egypt topic. Originally for a KS3/KS4 SEN class.

St Andrews Day (assembly)
This was a resource I used for an assembly on St Andrews Day. It's suitable for all key stages and could be adapted for classes.

Design your own animal- desert and rainforest
Two worksheets to use for animal adaption topics, one for the desert, one for the rainforest. Includes 3 key features of animals in each habitat and then students draw an animal using these features.

Includes a powerpoint to go along with the lesson, a worksheet, self assessment and extension task of drawing a symmetrical pattern on a rocket.

Originally made for a year 7 SEN class. Includes widget symbols to aid understanding.
Includes brief questions about the information covered in the light unit.
