Reacting Masses and Stoichiometry GCSE lesson (SC9b SC9c CC9b CC9c)

(0)
These PowerPoints will allow you to teach students how to calculate reacting masses (the mass of product made by a given mass of reactant and vice versa). Two PowerPoints are provided: Higher-tier lesson The PowerPoint (plus worksheet with exam-style practice questions) will allow you to teach Higher-tier only content on stoichiometry and then use this alongside numbers of moles to calculate reacting masses. Foundation-tier lesson Foundation students need to learn how calculate reacting masses but they do not need to learn how to calculate numbers of moles. The PowerPoint aimed at Foundation students revisits Relative Formula Mass and shows how to use this to approach Reacting Masses in a different way. It can also be used as backup for Higher students who struggle with Moles. The resources are easy to follow for teachers, readily accessible for students and are appropriate for Combined and Triple Science classes! Other lessons on Calculations involving Mass (including the preceding lesson on Moles) are available from my shop. They can be purchased individually or, alongside this lesson, as part of a whole-topic bundle.
