Links to Special Days

Groundhog Day, celebrated on February 2nd, is linked to shadows. According to folklore, if a groundhog sees its shadow on this day, it will retreat back into its burrow, and winter will continue for six more weeks. If it doesn’t see its shadow, spring will arrive early.
