A small collection of photos from my time spent working in the Arctic town of Point Barrow, Alaska.
Photos were taken before the invention of the digital camera and are on slide film so the resolution isn’t as good as it would be today. However, the photos may be of interest to students learning about climate, or wanting to know what life is like if you go to school in the Arctic. Can you spot the polar bear footprints, and polar bear in the distance. Visit the local cemetary, school, softball court, homes, and see the tundra from the air. These photos are from the summer time. In the winter the town is in darkness.
