Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS) – the only English-medium special school in Hong Kong for students aged 5–19 with neurodiverse needs and disabilities, including Autism Spectrum diagnoses and complex sensory needs– seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist I to enhance our collaborative, neuroaffirming therapy services.
About the Role
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based, person-centred Occupational Therapy to empower students in achieving life skills, self-regulation, and curriculum access. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualised and group interventions (e.g., sensory integration, adaptive equipment, classroom strategies).
- Assessing needs, formulating IEP goals, and evaluating outcomes.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and professionals to embed OT strategies school-wide.
- Leading training sessions and mentoring staff/student clinicians.
- Managing resources and contributing to service development projects.
Ideal Candidate
You are a reflective practitioner with:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and HK Supplementary Medical Professions Council (Part 1) registration.
Experience: 5+ years post-registration experience; experience in pediatric/school settings, preferably with autism/sensory processing disorders.
Skills:
- Expertise in sensory integration, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and IEP collaboration.
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication (English proficiency required).

About the Team
ESF Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS) is the only English-medium school in Hong Kong that caters for children with individual needs. The school supports students with a wide range of needs including moderate and severe or complex learning disabilities and students with autism. The age range is from 5 to 19 years. The school strives to empower children and young people to maximise their potential and where appropriate, make their transition into mainstream education through collaborative inclusion programmes.
Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Every child has an Individual Educational Plan which includes literacy, numeracy, communication, personal and social education, and behaviour targets to which the school’s multidisciplinary team of therapists contribute as required. All students leaving the school at the end of their educational career do so with a record of achievement and a portfolio of work that is accredited by ASDAN, an awarding body that is recognised by institutes of further education, commerce and industry.
