Contract Type: 0.6 (22.2 hours per week), Permanent 

Salary: £32,304 to £49,934 (Pro rata) Upper pay range points UP2 and  UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine

We are now searching for an A-level Lecturer in Religious Studies (Philosophy, Ethics and Religion) to deliver and lead at our Yale 6th site. As with all A-level provision at Cambria, there will also be a requirement to deliver the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales qualification. 

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate proven experience and competence in teaching Religious Studies and/or a related subject such as Humanities, Law, or Languages, and hold a degree-level qualification.

As a Lecturer at Coleg Cambria you will be required to deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students. You will also be responsible for enrolling students on appropriate courses and provide coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as ensuring the safety and welfare of our students at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to at least Level 6/Degree Level in a relevant specialist subject area 
  • Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, C&G 7407)
  • Able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice
  • Competent digital literacy skills
  • Be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques

Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
