Wootton Park School is a vibrant, forward-thinking all-through school (4-19) located in the heart of Northampton and Academy of Northampton Free School Trust. We are seeking an inspirational, dynamic, and visionary leader to join our community as Head of School (Secondary phase). The successful candidate will work alongside the founding Executive Headteacher/CEO and Head of School (Primary).

The Role: As Head of School (Secondary Phase), you will lead the secondary phase of the school with passion, integrity, and vision, ensuring the highest standards of education, pastoral care, and staff development. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, academic achievement, and overall well-being of the school community.
Working closely with the CEO, trustees, staff, learners, and parents, you will be expected to continue to drive improvement, develop partnerships, and ensure that Wootton Park School remain a leading institution in the Trust and region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the school, fostering an environment where learners and staff can excel.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across all phases of the secondary school, from KS3 to Sixth Form.
- Help lead the development and implementation of the school’s vision, values, and strategic priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement through effective monitoring, evaluation, and development of school practices.
- Promote the highest standards of behaviour, pastoral care, 51ºÚÁÏ, and wellbeing for learners and staff.
- Engage with parents, the local community, and external partners to enhance the school’s reputation and support learner success.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a Head of School (Secondary Phase) who is an outstanding leader, with:
- Proven leadership experience in an all-through or secondary school setting.
- A passion for educational excellence and a commitment to the very highest of standards for all.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
- A track record of successful school enhancement and the ability to lead others effectively.
- Experience in managing and developing staff, fostering a positive and supportive school culture.
