This unit has a lesson presentation for every lesson that includes a starter activity, main activity and plenary. Resources also include homework, worksheets, helpsheets and an overall assessment sheet that can be used for self, peer and teacher assessment. A full Scheme of Work is also provided.

THIS UNIT CAN BE USED FOR KS3 OR AS AN INTRODUCTION FOR KS4.
The aim of this unit is for learners to understand the basics of programming and be able to code using Python. Learners will be taken through a series of 8 lessons that will enhance their knowledge of programming. This will give them a feel for programming and allow them to possibly choose this as an option for their GCSEs.
Learners will use Turtle commands to draw basic shapes, use IF statements and loops to create a simple program. Create a computer program which will include an IF and ELSE statement as well as loops. Create a simple test table which carries out three tests and explain and justify good and bad features of my solution.
