The notebook in more detail:
Use this notebook as a full scheme of work to support your phonics teaching.
The first set of slides features each of the speed sounds to use as a flash reminder, you can use these alongside the printed version of each sound.
The following slides teach each sound in more detail.
There are links to videos on youtube. You can add more if you wish.
There is space for children to brainstorm additional words which feature the sound.
There are copies of the worksheets to support the children’s learning.
Every 4 sounds - there is a revision sheet which can be printed double sided (flip on short side) and turned into a booklet to revise the sounds taught in previous weeks.
Worksheets can be used during lessons or sent as homework. They can be read together or to work independently.
The worksheets follow a similar format so children become familiar with expectations and ultimately can work towards independence.
You can then use the words from the notebook to use as your spelling words for the week.
