I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

Trig Identities for 'A' Level

(0)
This is a collection of almost 50 Trig identities that I have collected over the years. They are not in order of difficulty but I see no reason why an ‘A’ level groups should not work through them as a collective group effort. - there’s a good idea for a lesson. Obviously answers are not included but all identities have been checked. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Miscellaneous Differentiation - With Answers

This is a PDF consisting of over 60 questions on differentiation. Questions are miscellaneous involving Product, Quotients, and Compound Functions and even some implicit differentiation I originally wrote this worksheet as a revision exercise but eventually incorporated as a starter - 3 questions per lesson. Due to the difficulty of some of the questions I re-wrote the sheet and have put the two together as one making for a huge number of differentiation questions. some are quite demanding but, if students can do these then they can do anything. I have included the standard differentiation fact sheet as a bonus. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Differentiation Of Products + Answers

This is two very comprehensive worksheets covering all that you will need to teach and revise the differentiation of a product. This PDFs consists of around 30 questions each on differentiation of a product - sometimes including the chain rule too. Q1 - 10 (35 questions) covers differentiation of products using only polynomials, logs and exponentials - I used this teach the product rule. Q1 is over twenty functions to differentiate. Q2 - 9 cover the application of differentiation of products - gradient, tangents, normals and increasing functions The second sheet I used for more able students or those wanting revision practice at a later stage - some of these get quite tricky. Q11 another twenty function though I now include trigonometry and reciprocal trig functions. Q12 - 19 much harder applications. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you
Implicit Differentiation Worksheet + Answers

Implicit Differentiation Worksheet + Answers

This PDF consists of around 25 questions based on implicit differentiation. The first 18 are finding expressions for the first derivative in terms of x and y and then I have included 6 or 7 on the applications of differentiation - using the implicit method. I have included one or two where second derivatives are required - just for fun. This is a very thorough worksheet which can be used when teaching the topic or as a revision sheet. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

Differentiation Using The Quotient Rule

(0)
This is a cracking worksheet with almost 30 questions on every aspect of differentiation using the quotient rule. There is a large number of questions on using the quotient rule - some of these mix the chain rule or the product rule in too, and then there are a few involving the applications of differentiation. This pdf is an excellent resource for revising the Quotient Rule. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you
Differentiation of Composite Functions + Answers

Differentiation of Composite Functions + Answers

(0)
This is a great pdf designed for those students wanting to revise the differentiation of composite functions - or a “function of a function” The sheet consists of around 35 questions, the first 26 are simply a list of composite functions using the usual standard differentials, followed by the rest of the questions reinforcing the applications of differentiation. Answers are included as usual. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

Tangent and Normals at 'A' Level - with answers

(0)
This PDF consists of 21 questions on Tangents and Normals and nothing else - I have avoided mixing this exercise with any other topic. The first 8 questions involve only polynomial differentiation and questions 9 - 20 require product rule, quotient rule and chain rule. Q21 even involves Implicit Differentiation ! I have included the free STANDARD DIFFERENTIALS sheet which always proves useful. It is a thorough worksheet and answers are included. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

This is an excellent set of questions aimed at revision of Standard differentials - that’s those that you should know by heart. Many are on formulae sheets and booklets but there is no substitute for practice. There are two pdf’s here - the first is the fact sheet that I give to all students covering all the standard integrals and differentials. The second is over 30 questions on standard differentiation - including some basic applications. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

This PDF contains over 60 questions on the differentiation of polynomials. Question 1 - has 26 parts, each on the differentiation of polynomials including negative and fractional powers. Question 2 - 21 questions, the focus of these questions are functions that need to be rearranged into polynomials prior to differentiation. The third sheet is a set of questions on the application and interpretation of the differentiation of polynomials. This is a very thorough set of questions that I use in year 12, but is also used for revision. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you
