This Quiz is is a short general knowledge quiz written by 'Quizinators’ and completely free.
I am an experienced Quiz writer and presenter that decided to spread my tried and tested winning formula to others. They are ideal, for a one off event or regular use. If you are presenting a quiz I understand how meticulously researched well phrased questions and answers can help the cause.
Each quiz is structured to start easy and get progressively harder (a difficult skill to approximate, after all a question is easy when you know it!) This will give teams with more knowledge a greater challenge near the end.
The picture round of this quiz includes a professionally formatted image of the £20 note where players are required to identify the person and then the 9 celebrities within the remainder of the £20 notes.
Each quiz contains 30 questions of increasing difficulty and an additional tie-breaker, if required.
Questions 1 - 10: Easier questions designed to give your teams some confidence and even raise some laughs.
Questions 11 - 20: Medium difficulty questions, some of these may include a multiple choice element.
Questions 21 - 25: Harder questions which teams will find much more challenging.
Questions 26 - 30: ‘The Wipeout Round’ or ‘Double or Quits’. It is suggested that in this section, you inform teams that each question is worth 2 points, however if one question is answered incorrectly the team ‘wipes-out’ and scores no points for the round, questions can however be missed out with no penalty (just receiving no points for that particular question.)

‘Pub Quiz’ - General Knowledge and Picture Round (Celebrities ‘inside’ the £20 Note) - Tutor Time - 2020
I designed this activity to get the children to become more accurate at counting data systematically. I have also included the answers in a worksheet. Children are required to count the number of certain letters in a passage of text. Can be linked to handling data in ICT showing the computer can be more efficient at certain tasks. Please leave a comment if you find this useful.
A two page, factual newsletter aimed at children explaining ‘What you need to know’ about the coronavirus in Italy.
Children should read the article and answer the 10, comprehension questions about the happenings in Italy, some examples are listed below…
When were the new measures introduced in Italy?
Are people allowed to travel in Italy? Explain your answer.
Why do you think that particular photograph was chosen to accompany the article?
Very useful to use as a PSHE lesson or as a Literacy comprehension session. Great for a talking point in class or to simply to give children the facts about coronavirus without the panic.
An ‘outstanding’ observation lesson plan with resources, Powerpoint, worksheets etc
There is also a lot of additional worksheets / Powerpoints included here too that would be useful for additional lessons and / homework.
