Mental Health Awareness Week lesson. Ideal for a mental health awareness day / week or as a general mental health lesson. The lesson considers why talking about mental health can be difficult, why thinking about mental health is important, possible symptoms faced by those experiencing poor mental health and strategies for looking after our mental health. We also offer lesson and tutor time resources which meet the annual themes for mental health awareness events… Previews show examples of some slides included in this lesson. We also offer the resource in a shorter tutor time / assembly format available here. You may also be interested in our lessons on- Mental Health and Exercise Loneliness Anxiety This is an easy to follow power point lesson (no prior planning, printing or preparation required . The resource is designed to be delivered as one 60 minute session but all of our resources are fully editable and designed to allow sections to be added, removed or changed should you need to do so. You may wish to print out the community sheets however these could also be drawn in books or on paper. No previous knowledge in the subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced PSHE teacher. Lesson meets current UK PSHE guidance.
