This pack includes guided reading plans for the following text: Bill's New Frock by Anne Fine (years 4/5) In total there are 7 guided reading lesson plans, covering each of the chapters in the book. Each plan contains a 'reading and responding to the text' activity which is designed to be completed with the class teacher with the reading group. There are then follow up independent activities which the children can then complete during the remainder of the week. All of these activities are closely linked to each of the reading assessment focuses and these are listed at the beginning of each plan. Each plan also has a list of difficult words which the children can check the meaning of before the teacher led session, space to list the names of the children who are working on the text and a space for a teacher notes and evaluation. The plans have been written by an experienced primary school teacher and have been tried and tested in the classroom.

Included in this set are 32 loop cards which help children understand contractions. There are 4 loop cards on each A4 sheet, making them easy to keep and store. Once the class or group have completed the loop card activity once, why not time them to see if they can complete the 'loop' in a faster time. This 73 slide PowerPoint is the perfect revision tool for the forthcoming Grammar test. In total 35 different grammatical terms are covered with each term covered over two slides. Slide 1 - a multiple choice quiz where the term is given and the children have to then choose from four possible definitions. Slide 2 - the correct definition is given. This is then followed by an activity for the children to complete which will consolidate their understanding of the grammatical term.
