A short Powerpoint presentation for teaching vocabulary used in maths related to circles. Primarily for use with EAL or ESOL students in school but could be used with adult learners of ESOL or Literacies who are working on numeracy or maths skills. Included in the presentation are links to my vocabulary wordset in Quizlet, enabling the use of online flashcards, matching games and tests. There is also a link to a Wordwall diagram to label. This is part one of my English in Maths series.

This powerpoint for ESOL / EAL , uses present simple and past simple with regular and irregular verbs. There are two very similar stories about a trip to Svalbard, firstly, written in the present simple and changed to the past simple using regular verbs. There is then a short pronunciation activity and a summary of the spelling rules. Secondly, the story is rewritten, this time using irregular verbs. There is a matching game using irregular verbs in the present and past forms. Included are two word documents so that the activities can be copied, cut out and used as hands on activities by the students.
