This World War 2 bundle contains a timeline display and sorting activity, nine reading comprehension activities that look at the key leaders and timeline World War II; two biography writing units about Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt; an opinion writing unit about the most influential allied leader; and an informational writing unit about World War II.

Firstly, there is a great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the key events of World War 2. There are 42 posters or cards that include many of the key events from the Second World War. The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to World War II. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.

In Task 1 students will read an informational text about the United Nations and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.
In Task 2 students will use the same informational text to complete a crossword puzzle. Within the puzzle there are several hidden letters which will need to be unscrambled on the completion of the puzzle to reveal the second word.
In Task 3 students will have to cut out 27 timeline task cards about important historical events from US history before putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word.
In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word.
Students can then complete their student answer key with the four words they revealed before checking with the teacher to see if they have escaped successfully.

A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the some of the key events and famous figures from the history of the United States.
There are 47 posters or task cards that include many of the key events including the arrival of Europeans to America, the forming of the US constitution, the American Civil War, World War II, and more modern events such as the Moon landing and 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are a brilliant introduction to US history. The displays and cards come both with dates and without dates, so the students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline. The cards look even better when laminated.
