Students are led by their own interests to find out more about the world before using geography and maths skills to plan their own journey/holiday.
Example tasks include creating a piece of artwork around one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, writing a fun fact quiz about a country, completing a virtual tour of a chosen art gallery, producing a graph showing the number of tourists visiting the most popular countries and exploring travel options. Students will need the internet for some of the tasks such as searching for the cheapest airplane flights, planning how to get to their chosen holiday accommodation and creating a timetable of their chosen activities.
It could be used for a whole class or for children who aren’t going on residential. There are two versions of the booklet of tasks included so you can choose whether students record their answers within the booklet or separately.
