This year 6 non-fiction reading SATs practice pack contains an engaging reading text about an unusual creature: the capybara. This text is accompanied by 5 short reading tasks which feature SATs style questions. These tasks are great for quick and effective SATs revision. There are four skills practice tasks which will take approximately 10 to 20 minutes each to complete and discuss. These include sets of questions based on the following:
- Retrieval
- Vocabulary
- Inference
- Fact and Opinion
In addition, the pack includes a mixed practice assessment which will take around 20-30 minutes to complete and discuss. This allows pupils to practise answering a variety of SATs style questions in the form of a mini-test.
Accompanying guidance is included to help teachers use the pack. Answers are also included.
