From wildlife watching to vibrant street life, this reading pack explores Kenya’s capital city through three carefully differentiated texts (Starter, Standard, and Stretch).

Each reading level is also available as a separate Easel Activity, ready to assign through TPT, Google Classroom, or any learning platform that accepts shared links. Students can complete their responses digitally using interactive tools to type, highlight, and engage directly with the text.

Reading skills build progressively throughout the pack. Early readers begin by retrieving facts, identifying key ideas, and sequencing events. As confidence grows, students move on to explore vocabulary in context, make inferences, and consider why the writer included certain details. A simple traffic light self-assessment encourages reflection on understanding.

Across all levels, learners will discover that Nairobi is the capital of Kenya and sits in East Africa.
