This is one lesson that is included in a detective fiction scheme of work you can find in my store. This lesson will last about 40 minutes, and is one of the shorter lessons in the scheme. The section of reading in The Speckled Band spans over Sherlock and Watson hiding out in the apartment, waiting for the ‘crime’ to occur. The Hot-Seating activity has students pretend to be Watson or Holmes, and be asked questions about the case by the rest of the class.
