This is part of a Detective Fiction Scheme of Work, in which students study the context surrounding the creation of the genre, the story ‘The Speckled Band’ by Arthur Conan Doyle, and the story ‘The Red-Headed League’, also by Doyle. These four lessons can stand alone, however. Each lesson includes the section of reading that the tasks pertain to (with vocabulary indexes) and resources, at the end of each powerpoint. There is also a challenge vocabulary list and homework sheet included.
