Everyone loves a quiz! Whether you’re a hard-core ultra-competitive quizzer, or just enjoy taking part for fun a quiz is a brilliant way to develop team work, test knowledge and have some fun at the same time.
So, as part of our My Science Club celebration of British Science Week (BSW) we have designed The Great STEM Quiz 2025 for you to use at school, home or science club to challenge and inspire your children in a fun way.
The quiz is made up of three rounds of twelve questions aimed at 8 – 12-year-olds. Questions have been tested for suitability and to ensure there is the right level of challenge and diversity. There are rounds on General STEM, Biomimicry and Change & Adapt, this year’s BSW theme.

I've just gone to download the updated version but there is only the pdf - I think yuo have tried to change the formula for water but it is still not correct the 2 must be subscript - it might be the font you are using but it is not displaying correctly. You mention a ppt version but I cannot see that.

Thanks so much for taking time to reply, we really appreciate it. Thank you also for spotting the slip of the 2 in the water chemical formula, we have rectified that and re-uploaded a PDF version.
We have also taken on board your suggestion of a slideshow as well as PDF - we usually find that using the 'present' feature of PDF works as well as powerpoint and means we can make the slide deck much smaller - however, we totally understand this is not for everyone and have added a separate version as a powerpoint.
We hope you enjoy using the quiz as part of your science week celebrations and if you have any more suggestions, pop them our way, we really appreciate the opportunity to improve what we are sharing

New versions are now uploaded, both for free.

Hi, thanks again for the feedback - you are probably right, it must be the script when I added it and look at it on my screen, the 2 is perfectly placed - perhaps it could be a bonus point in the quiz to spot the error - teehee.
