Ten Frame Resource Pack – Subitizing, Counting & Number Sense (EYFS/KS1)
Reinforce early number skills with this engaging Ten Frame Resource Pack, ideal for EYFS and KS1 learners. This pack is designed to support subitizing, number recognition, and early addition through a variety of interactive and visual activities that make learning fun and meaningful.
Included in this pack:
Subitizing Puzzles (up to 6): Students match a numeral and its written word to four different representations – a ten frame, tally marks, and a dice pattern. A great way to develop number sense and visual recognition of small quantities.
Clip Cards (1–20): Students count the ten frame representation and choose the correct number using either pegs or by circling the answer with a pencil or marker. Perfect for independent work, maths corners, or small group activities.
Shake & Spill Activity: Students roll a dice twice and use two different coloured counters (red and yellow) to represent each number on a ten frame. They then complete the addition number sentence provided, building understanding of number bonds and early addition.
Roll it, Write it, Show it Differentiated worksheets: Students roll a dice, write the number it lands on, and represent it visually in a ten frame. One version also includes tallying for an extra challenge.
This pack of resources is ideal for hands-on practice, maths rotations, or reinforcing key concepts in a playful, accessible way.
