A diverse and detailed unit focused upon Television Game Shows (Unit 1) for the AQA GCSE Media Studies 2017 exam. This unit focuses upon television game show sub-genres and conventions; game show gratifications and audience theory; institutional aspects and representations; the role and importance of the host; in-depth analysis of game show opening sequences and final rounds; and television game show marketing campaigns. The SOW features in in-depth overview of the unit's expectations, including requirements for the formal examination. Also included is a full television game shows mock exam, and 8 weeks of independent research (4 to prepare for the mock exam, 4 to prepare for the final Unit 1 Exam).

* How to effectively market and advertise a new television game show
* Analysing opening sequences and final rounds - 'The Chase' and 'The Cube'
* 4 weeks of independent research to prepare for mock exam
* Unit 1 mock exam
* 4 weeks of independent research to prepare for formal Unit 1 Exam

Ppt useful, Not really differentiated resources as far as I can see. Is very expensive but might save time for a department
