
This student debate can be used to embed the different circumstances of Supply. Students should understand key concepts of supply, including minimum price, fixed supply, and limited capacity.
The debate topic: Is minimum pricing a good idea?
It includes a lesson plan and x3 worksheets.
Lesson plan: A lesson plan is provided to help structure the lesson, It provides the learning objectives, timings and instructions and includes additional extension activities. This sample lesson plan will help guide you through use of the worksheets.
Worksheet 1: Class debate- A structured worksheet with prompt questions and areas for each team to make notes.
Worksheet 2: Scoring Sheet- For the judges/students to complete following the debate. This makes them consider the full debate by ranking certain areas and making overall comments.
Worksheet 3: Reflection Sheet- A reflection sheet or students to consider after they have competed the debate.

This debate is always enjoyed by my senior / Leaving Certificate students. A paired back version could be used with Junior students.
