An 8 week practical SOW on Street Dance, suitable for Primary and KS3.
Includes a written 8 week scheme of work including lesson plans, AFL, differentiation and inclusion as well as 8 PowerPoint lessons.
This SOW focuses on the origins of hip hop including a variety of old school hip hop movements as well as the 5 basic dance actions. Students will learn hip hop movements from the old school hip hop dictionary, they will create their own hip hop moves and create names for them!
Students will explore hip hop culture whilst learning how to implement the use of levels, pathways, freeze frames and choreographic devices including unison, canon and repetition.
The SOW includes recall activities, group work, scaffolded tasks, extension tasks and plenaries. The SOW builds up to a final performance with a self-assessment.
