This lesson is planned and ready to go - all you have to do is print the sheets and hide the leprechauns! Make it as easy or as difficult as you like. Students each get a worksheet which contains sheet music for Tell Me Ma, but several bars are missing. They go on a treasure hunt or scavenger hunt to find the leprechauns; each one is holding a sign with the missing notes which the students copy onto their sheet. We love some theory reinforcement, any day of the year! Once they have found all the leprechauns, they will have the completed sheet music to play on their xylophone, keyboard, piano, recorder - or any treble clef instrument really! Full sheet music with lyrics and chords is included if you want to lead a class performance from the piano.
Music teachers are busy year-round and it can be tough to incorporate extra activities in a packed curriculum. You probably teach multiple classes and year groups and it’s impossible to create individual lessons for them all for every single special occasion! This lesson plan is low-prep and can be used with multiple different age groups - print it once and use it for multiple classes! I’d suggest using from age 8-12 - check out the preview to judge for your own students.
I hope you and your students love this St Patrick’s Day activity! Don’t forget to leave a review!
