Creative writing short story speech punctuation lesson that explores Dickens’ The Signal-Man and is part a unit of work on short stories whilst looking at creative writing. Students explore the different types of character found in this example, create their own characters and learn about writing speech punctuation and varying vocabulary effectively to create dialogue.
