This Rhino Collaborative Grid Drawing Poster is a unique bulletin board idea and engaging Math and Art project designed for grades 3-12. This activity combines creativity with critical thinking, as students work together to create an Earth Day wildlife awareness poster. Each student is assigned a grid/tile and uses the grid drawing method to enlarge their square to a scale of 1:6, coloring and assembling it to form a vibrant rhino mural. The completed poster measures 108cm x 108cm, offering a stunning visual representation of an endangered animal. Teachers can choose the color palette, follow the provided sample, or allow students to select their own, encouraging artistic expression and collaboration.

This endangered species grid drawing art is an excellent tool for educators to integrate hands-on learning into their curriculum. It can be used as an engaging Earth Day activity or as part of a lesson on wildlife conservation. By combining math skills, like scale and proportion, with artistic techniques, the project enhances students’ problem-solving abilities and creativity. Additionally, the finished rhino mural serves as a meaningful bulletin board craft, sparking discussions about endangered species and environmental stewardship. This collaborative effort not only fosters teamwork but also deepens students’ understanding of the importance of protecting our planet’s wildlife.

There are five different grid variations that you can choose from, ranging from dark to light lines. These grids align perfectly with the enlarged squares, making it easy for students to transfer the image without additional measurements.
