This is a differentiated activity, starting with a mix of one, two and some three-step formulae, gradually increasing in complexity.

This is aimed towards a lower to mid ability group, keeping to the standard four operations, with a little bit of negatives indices and roots in for a little challenge.

I made this mainly since I couldn’t find anything that didn’t move onto vastly more difficult formulae after a couple of questions.

The answers are on the second pdf and I have included the powerpoint I made it on so you can edit it to your requirements.

Great resource except ‘x’ is already the subject in all the equations. Please edit and repost. I have downloaded and will edit for my own use so Thank you. Just thought you should know. Actually I have updated my rating as the resource already has the changes made on the PowerPoint slides.
