These Reading & Writing Task for Kindergarten are perfect for Whole Class or Centers worksheets; they make for a great lesson, selection of literacy centers or even week of lesson plans.

For each character, there is an inference task, where children discuss what they know about the character based on the pictures. This is a fun conversation starter and can be used as a lesson input or group discussion. These are also great for Guided Reading tasks.

Then, children can write sentences about each character, E.G. “Ellie the Elephant has a blue hat”.
