Positive Friendships PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the qualities that people often look for in a good friend. We will discuss what we mean by a ‘toxic’ friendship, and discuss whether it is ever ok to end a friendship. We will look at the importance of trust, honesty and respect in building positive relationships. The students will then use their knowledge to create a magic spell to conjure a perfect friendship. The lesson includes case studies, a match-up task, a video clip with questions, and clear, measurable learning outcomes.

Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, Includes detailed PowerPoints, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.

The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.

Year 4 - Respectful Relationships

Primary PSHE - Year 4 - Respectful Relationships Bundle This 3-week scheme of work is taken from the [ EC Publishing Primary PSHE scheme](/teaching-resource/primary-pshe-package-12645709). Our curriculum builds progressively, leading to this Year 4 unit on Respectful Relationships. In Year 1, we explored families and the people who care for us. In Year 2, we focused on friendship and how to be a good friend. In Year 3, we developed our understanding of different family structures and began to explore how to set boundaries in friendships and other relationships. In this Year 4 unit, we continue to build on that learning by revisiting family structures and deepening our understanding of different types of committed relationships, such as cohabitation, marriage, and civil partnership. We will also explore the importance of honesty and trust in healthy relationships, learn what makes a positive friendship, and begin to recognise signs that a friendship may not be healthy. You can find the Scheme of Work here: [Year 4 - Respectful Relationships SOW](/teaching-resource/resource-13239305) The unit includes the following lessons: [1. Committed Relationships](/teaching-resource/marriage-and-commitment-12520722) [2. Honesty and Trust]((/teaching-resource/honesty-and-trust-primary-pshe-12518989) [3.
