These outdoor activities have been created specifically for early years children. If you want to take your nursery, pre-school or foundation stage children outside to learn then these are for you. Every activity has been tried and tested many times with children between two and five years old.
The seasons bring different opportunities for outdoor learning and this collection of activities are designed for the winter months. There are fifteen separate activities so you could do a different one every week throughout the winter.
Each activity sheet includes a description of the activity, a resource list, things to prepare in advance and instructions. Many sessions also have a story linked to the theme of the activity.
There is a separate document with risk assessments for each activity. These can be edited to fit your own setting and delivery of the sessions.
