This creative writing lesson invites upper primary and lower secondary pupils to explore the traditional story of the Willow Pattern and express their understanding through poetry.

Learners will be introduced to the features of an ode and guided to write their own, inspired by the themes and imagery of the classic blue-and-white plate design.
